My Bio
Are you interested in tales where the protagonists are really in danger? Stories where the monster plants don't always go hungry, where the spider isn't certain to meet a terrible end?

I've teamed up with the Eldrik Aethervial, full time artist and generally awesome guy, to create the ongoing peril comic Grim Fate and the shorter Grim Mini side comics.

The blue circles are DA-specific, we have other public versions of our comics on HF and E-H .

If you're interested in seeing next week's comic today, check out our Patreon at www.patreon.com/GrimFateComics ! It also has HD pages, mini comic concept submissions / voting, piles of bonus drawings, and more!
As noted in the Patreon earlier this week, GFC's main comic will be changing to an illustrated novel style (starting after the end of this arc / the next chapter). We've tried many things but the comic just could not continue as-is. The workload was infeasible; you may be aware of the sheer amount of art Eldrik produces every month and comics are MUCH more time-intensive than anything else he does. -------- First, regarding bonus content: - The Di-Sketches / bonus art will continue as before. They were a relatively small part of Eldrik's workload. Some patrons have asked if changing the bonus art would help the main comic situation, but it would not so they're continuing as before. - Regarding Minicomics: It's currently looking like we'll still have enough funding to continue with the minicomics. However, any comic where the submitter specified they desired Eldrik to be the one that does it will have no ETA. I was considering pausing the voting process, but if there isn't a large

Illness Break

1 min read
If you're wondering about the bonus art posting / lack of comic update, Eldrik got a kidney stone (again but worse) and ended up in the ER (He's since returned from that). That was earlier this week, and he's set up some checkups and such but as for the comic we'll be posting some old art pieces from the Patreon bonus art section this week and the next two weeks as well. First up is the last image of the Poor Path (GFC version) series~

EDIT: Applications closed. Alright, wish I waited a few days before posting that previous journal. >.> ----- Between FvT/GFC/etc, Eldrik is swamped. His plan to reduce his 90hr work week to 70hrs was not enough: We need an artist that can completely handle the mini-comics. This means we're looking for style, dependability, and storyboarding/comic design skills. This would be for one mini-comic every 2 months*. Each mini comic is between 4-6 pages, and each page is 2221px * 3100px (including border). The number of panels per page are usually ~8 (5-12). Eldrik does pricing per panel (10-90 fullcolor, usually 20-40) but we're open to discussion. Whatever the pricing scheme, full color** pages should generally be between 160-260 depending on complexity. *We have a backlog of mini-comic scripts (and 2x designs open to change), so more work would be possible if it could be handled. ** Some mini pages can be B&W, although we might switch to 100% fullcolor depending on the new artist.

Nice stuff! You've earned yourself a watch! :D BTW, check out my gallery, if you feel like it...

AH! In my haste to get the next image out the middle of last night, I forgot one more thing:

Thank you, anonymous person that CORE-ified me! It's appreciated~.

Hi, do you accept commissions, if not do you accept idea suggestions. I like your art and have some ideas you might be interested in doing.

Well, I wouldn't underestimate suggestions - the third screening was underwater entirely due to the guy below you bringing it up while I was fiddling with the script for the third screening (it had issues, and making it underwater happened to solve most of them). That said, I'm not making any promises.

As for commissions, long version:

I'm the writer, not the artist (as noted on page) - Eldrik doesn't have a DA account. That said, I know that the only commissions Eldrik does right now are for the GFC (This series) and FvT (Fairies Vs Tentacles) patreon/discord.

Aside from the mini comic submissions/voting (It's been awhile since I posted new mini comics to DA.. I should do that...), and the sketch series polls, the more direct commission paths would be:

> (Full) The relevant tier for GFC ($40 / Director Tier) is full, and openings don't appear very often. We've had ~3 openings in the past couple years and they all filled within 48hrs of being available. The director tier involves 1x clean sketch or upgrade (sketch -> lineart -> flat -> full color) every month. The results are the "Di-Sketches" I've mentioned elsewhere.

> (Discontinued) There was a brief period where we had a $30 tier with a sort of submit B&W art idea / oldest & highest voted would be done each month, but it didn't catch on so we discontinued the tier.

> (Very Long Wait) The "Super Supporters" role on the FvT discord have some openings (IIRC), and work on a combination token / queue system. basically, you put your name in the queue and when your turn comes up you can spend tokens in exchange for more complicated art pieces. It'd be about a 1-3 years wait so you'd certainly have time to build up tokens before your turn (Most pictures would take something between ~10-20 tokens, less if it's just a char design or something).

Eldrik is in very high demand, basically.

Do you think maybe you can add some underwater scenes in the comics?

I have taken note that people like underwater scenes~. There will be some water stuff in vol 2, at least!

The minicomics are rarely conducive to water stuff, alas.

I see. Would be cool if you guys made a non canon underwater comic with Amber, Rika, or Safi. But it's up to you.
